HKG Energy Wins 1st Runner-Up Award at Sustainability Open Innovation Challenge 6th Edition
HKG Energy won 1st Runner-Up at Enterprise Singapore’s 2025 SOIC, earning a S$50,000 grant for its silicon anode materials.
SOMERVILLE, Mass. – July 31, 2025 – HKG Energy has been recognized as 1st Runner-Up at the Sustainability Open Innovation Challenge (SOIC) 6th Edition, organized by Enterprise Singapore. The award includes a S$50,000 grant to pilot a proof-of-concept project focused on battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Singapore.
Through the SOIC, HKG Energy had the opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders, validate its technology, and design pathways for scaling silicon-anode-enabled storage solutions that deliver higher energy density, faster charging, and lower costs.
The recognition highlights Singapore’s role as a hub for innovation and sustainability, while marking a critical step for HKG Energy in bringing its technology closer to commercialization and market impact.
