Somerville, Mass. — September 8, 2025 — HKG Energy has been selected to join the Berkshire Innovation Center’s (BIC) Stage 2 Accelerator, a highly competitive 35-week program supporting high-potential early-stage technology companies across Massachusetts.

The program provides access to BIC’s state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced materials labs, digital media studio, and specialized equipment for R&D and prototyping. Participating startups also receive tailored mentorship, educational programming, and connections to corporate partners such as the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, MathWorks, SolidWorks, and the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center.

Through the Stage 2 Accelerator, HKG Energy will advance development of Terra Silicon™, its proprietary anode material designed to replace graphite in lithium-ion batteries. Terra Silicon™ addresses the scalability, cost, and performance limitations of conventional graphite and silicon–graphite materials, demonstrating an energy density above 400 Wh/kg and fast-charging capabilities under 15 minutes.

Now in its third cohort, the BIC Stage 2 Accelerator continues to play a vital role in advancing technology commercialization and strengthening Massachusetts’ innovation ecosystem, particularly in clean energy and advanced manufacturing sectors.
